You will want to keep an umbrella close by over the long weekend.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Steven Flisfeder says the forecast is unsettled with a potential for rain showers starting late Thursday night and a chance of thunderstorms on Friday.
He says there will be more rain on Saturday and that will be followed by another system moving in and bringing more showers for Sunday.
Flisfeder says Victoria Day Monday could be the best day of all with a mix of sun and clouds and a high of around 16.
“Temperatures a bit on the cooler side, a few degrees below normal, but you won’t need the umbrellas for Monday.”
As for what’s to come, Flisfeder says it’s a bit early to say but the summer should be warmer than normal.
