Next Stratford City Council will have new Integrity Commissioner

A new Integrity Commissioner will eventually be in place for Stratford City Council.

Council voted at their regular meeting Monday night to extend the contract of current Integrity Commissioner Robert J. Swayze for twelve months.

Swayze was first appointed Integrity Commissioner for the city in 2018 and he’s served in the position in several areas including Sudbury and Mississauga.

He also over saw complaints in Stratford on issues including a proposed bio-gas project and the Xinyi glass plant.

After the twelve month period, city staff will prepare a request for proposal for a two year term for someone new in the position.
