About 300 pigs killed in barn fire near Atwood

No one was injured but roughly 300 pigs were killed in a fire today.

According to multiple reports it broke out in a barn east of Atwood.

Firefighters from Atwood, Monkton and Listowel responded quickly and were able to save the structure.

Early estimates peg damage at more than $50,000.
