Save VIA changes name to “All Aboard St. Marys”

Save VIA is getting a makeover.

The citizens’ committee has renamed itself “All Aboard St. Marys”.

Founder Chris West says the name change better communicates the group’s goals. They want to save, improve and expand all passenger rail in Canada.

West founded Save VIA in 2012 in response to cuts that killed off the daily trains between our area and Toronto.

As part of its relaunch, and with what the group calls full support of St. Marys Town Council, All Aboard St. Marys Day is scheduled for September 16th. A parade and other, soon to be announced, events will be happening that day.

For more information get in touch with Chris West by email at [email protected].
