Skeletons of Vivian Line returns for tenth year

The Skeletons of Vivian Line are helping Stratford celebrate Halloween for a tenth straight year.

Melissa McKerlie first started putting plastic skeleton displays in front of her home in 2014 and since then over 200 different displays have been set out.

Over the last four years, over $80 thousand has been raised for Operation Smile Canada, a charity that helps children born with cleft lips and/or cleft palates undergo surgery so that they can smile.

McKerlie says they are hoping to hit the $100,000 target this year thanks to all of the support that’s been shown to the event.

“We’re gearing up for a big Halloween weekend, the 28th and 29th, we’ll have hundreds of people come by but there is people who are stopping all throughout the day.”

Donations are being accepted at the set up on Vivian Line and also through the Skeleton’s website where proceeds from merchandise sales go to the charity.
