Tavistock is one of 20 new sites where Community Safety Zones are being set up in Oxford County.
Officials say the zones are one of several speed management and traffic calming measures being undertaken to improve traffic safety.
The zones are designated areas with special road safety concerns that are marked by road signs that allow for increased fines for speeding.
They are being installed this month.
