Parents being asked to take part in online survey on climate at school

Parents and caregivers are being asked for their feedback on their student’s climate at school.

The Avon Maitland District School Board has launched an online survey as part of the board’s commitment to building and sustaining positive school climates that are safe, inclusive, and accepting for all students, families, and the broader community.

The survey is voluntary and completely anonymous.

Jane Morris, Superintendent of Education says: “The results from this survey will support school and board teams to better understand concerns, to build strategies and ultimately to seek to improve the school climate. We know that a positive school climate enables students to be more successful. We value the voices of our parents and caregivers and appreciate the time that each of them will take to provide this important feedback”

It can be found on the board’s website and the deadline to complete is Friday, December 1st at 4 p.m.
