Breaking: Perth East Mayor Rhonda Ehgoetz returning as Perth County Warden

There’s no change at the top when it comes to Perth County Council.
Both Perth County Warden Rhonda Ehgoetz and Deputy Warden Doug Kellum were acclaimed to their positions for another year on Thursday morning.
Ehgoetz is the Mayor of Perth East and is a thirteen-year member of county council and she calls the opportunity to return as Warden an honor and humbling.
She says the next year will bring with it its own set of challenges.
“I am confident that this council will meet those challenges head-on, we are a strong united front as we move forward, from rising costs, affordable and attainable housing and finishing the official plan.”
Ehgoetz adds that the 2024 budget will be challenging as things are becoming more costly, but she adds that the council will do its best.
