It’s almost time for the lights to come on in Stratford.
The fourth annual Lights On Festival kicks off Friday afternoon and features innovative light displays set up throughout the city including on Tom Patterson Island and in Market Square, behind Stratford City Hall.
The festival runs weekly, Thursday to Sunday, until January 13th.
Destination Stratford Executive Director and Lights On Stratford Festival Director Zac Gribble says they aim to attract local crowds as well as those from out of town.
“If we get that balance correct, and this is a community event that’s really loved by the community, and it starts to bring in a lot of winter tourism, which is one of our main goals and mandates.”
