Officials with the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance say a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Stratford General Hospital.
It’s in the hospital’s Integrated Stroke and Telemetry Unit and patients are only being allowed to have one family caregiver or visitor per day with no in-and-out privileges.
Family and caregivers will also be required to wear personal protective equipment including masks, eye protection, gowns, and gloves.
HPHA is working in collaboration with Huron Perth Public Health and patients, family/caregivers and team members affected by the outbreak are in the process of being notified.
Testing of patients is also taking place.
