Elizabeth Anne Forrest (Bryant), age 77, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Spruce Lodge on December 17, 2023. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Fred and Ruby (Roedding) Bryant.

Predeceased by her husband Allen Forrest July 25, 2007. Liz is survived by her siblings Robert Bryant (Dianne), Saralyn Lichty (Gerry), Cathy Halsall (Dennis).

She will be remembered by Allen’s children Theresa, Patrick, Andra and grandchildren Hannah, Matthew, Devin and McKenzie. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Linda.

Special aunt of Tracy (Kevin) Jacob, Megan; Shelley (Rene) Britain, Brooklyn; Rebecca, Makenzie, Sydney, Haley; Tausha, Brandon, Elizabeth, Watson, Rowen, Jessica, Yanni; Nicole (Sean) Carsin, Cora; Summer (Dan) Violet; Kylie (Simon) Joy, Isaiah; Michelle (Richard) Henry, George, Claire, Juliet; Crystal (Jeremy) Everett, Winston, Arthur, Teddy; Bryant (Nicole) Gemma, Lucas; Rachel (Jamie) Frederick.

Liz received her education at Westervelt Business School in London. Completed Leadership and Motivational courses at Centennial College, Toronto. Her work career started as a cart girl at The Stratford Festival and waitressing at the Drama Restaurant. One summer she worked at Ben Mar Resort in Minden in housekeeping where her dream of a bed and breakfast in Stratford was born. She worked as the secretary at Zion Lutheran Church; Chiropractic supply department in Kitchener; then the Canadian Chiropractic College in Toronto. At Dun and Bradstreet, she was the Publishing Editor of the annual Canadian Key Business Directory. She was manager of the Canadian Telebook Agency, where she developed the micro fiche ability for businesses to order any published book by their ISBN number. She founded the Bryant and Associates Consultation Company, where she taught Electronic Commerce seminars to increase sales and client relationships. She was UPS Logistics Manager of the Electronic Management System Team.

In 2003 her dream was fulfilled by opening The Bard and Breakfast B & B in our family home at 26 Devon Street, Stratford. Liz and Al shared their warm and caring selves with all their guests, welcoming them like family. From their beautiful gardens, seasonal décor and fabulous food, including Al’s Nest Eggs, resulted in great reviews and many returning guests.

Liz loved travelling with family and friends to amazing places around the world. She loved hosting epic Auntie Liz weekends in Toronto for her nieces and nephew. Playing bridge with the girls. Over the years, there were many great moments in Port Elgin at her trailer with family and friends.

She golfed many courses including St. Andrews in Scotland. She loved ceramics, making the family many Christmas Santas and Baby Bear Piggy Banks. Her gardens were featured on the Stratford Horticultural Tour. Liz and Al loved the Blue Jays.

We will all remember her great smile, warm heart and unending positive attitude whenever a challenge came her way!!

Friends and relatives are invited to the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, December 27, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
