A fire at an encampment in Stratford has prompted a reminder about following safety guidelines.
Stratford Fire Department officials say they were called out to a makeshift shed that was on fire near railroad tracks and a storage facility on Douro Street around 8:30 Wednesday morning.
The area where the fire was located was close to a propane tank which was removed by firefighters and the blaze put out.
The cause of the fire is pegged as the misuse of a makeshift heating device in the structure.
