The hours of the emergency department at the St.Marys Memorial Hospital are being cut down over the holidays because of a staffing shortage.
The department will close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve Sunday, stay closed on Christmas Day, and reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday with regular hours resuming.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1 and paramedics will remain available to the community and re-route to the nearest available emergency department.
