You’re being reminded to bring your own spoon to the 29th annual Soup’s On event this weekend.
Taking place on Saturday at the Stratford Rotary Complex, the event is put on by the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth with admission by donation and all of the money collected going towards supporting the organization.
There will be 22 soup vendors on hand and you can purchase five Soupons, the official currency of Soup’s On, for $5 to try the different bowls.
Erin Dale is the Manager of Fund Development and Communications with the society and she says all of the money that’s brought in through the event stays local.
“January is Alzheimer’s awareness month and so this is our largest January fundraiser to raise funds for Alzheimer’s and dementia in Huron and Perth Counties.”
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and also includes a silent auction and live music.
