Snowmobile riders are being urged to stay safe while out on the trails.
This is National Snowmobile Safety Week and Perth County OPP says you should check for trail status updates on the Ontario Federations of Snowmobile Club’s website.
You’re reminded to only use open trails and ask for permission from property owners before going onto private fields.
Driving sober, treating any frozen waterway as though no ice is safe ice, and wearing an approved helmet and appropriate clothing are other tips riders should follow.
