Update: Combined COVID-19/Influenza A outbreak over at Stratford General Hospital

A combined COVID-19 Influenza A outbreak is over at the Stratford General Hospital.
It was first declared on January 15th in the hospital’s Medicine Unit and Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance officials say immediate precautions were taken.
That included prevelance testing for patients.
“While this outbreak is over, we can’t stress enough the importance of layering up your protection to help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses that are circulating in Huron Perth,” says Erica Jensen, Manager Quality, Patient Safety & Infection Control. “Keep up-to-date with your flu and COVID-19 vaccines, wash your hands often, stay home if you are feeling sick and wear a mask when required/needed.”
The Medicine Unit has been reopened to admissions and transfers.
