Former Perth County archives building to become performing arts studio

There will soon be new life in the former Perth County archives building in Stratford.
At their regular meeting Monday night, Stratford City Council voted in support of a zoning change for the property at 24 St.Andrew Street that will allow a small theatre and performing arts studio to be set up.
The idea came about after Perth County, which still owns the building and will lease it, was approached by the theatre company on using the building that has sat vacant for several years.
The theatre will be made up of a maximum of 80 seats and parking will be available in the Perth County Courthouse parking lot and nearby city lots.
More details on the theatre are expected to be released shortly.
