Coldest Night of the Year supports local homeless people this February

Two charities need help supporting local people struggling with homelessness in a few weeks.

The annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraising and awareness event returns to Stratford on February 24th.

Participants in the fundraiser collect donations before taking to the streets together to raise awareness for homelessness.

The money is going towards Shelterlink Youth Services, supporting at-risk and homeless youths ages 16-24, and the Stratford Connection Centre, where homeless people can access services and facilities like showers.

Last year’s event raised $152,419 for the two organizations.

So far, $80,838 has been donated this year, with a goal of raising $170,000.

You can donate or register to take part in the event on the Coldest Night of the Year website.
