Some students could face suspension if their immunization records aren’t up-to-date

Health officials say close to forty per cent of local student’s immunization records are incomplete.
Huron Perth Public Health officials say the records of all students attending elementary or secondary school in the region have been checked.
Thirty-nine per cent of students are either missing records required for school attendance or their immunizations have not been reported to public health.
The students can be suspended from school under regulations and HPPH is holding catch-up clinics with letters sent to the parents and guardians of students with incomplete records.
Parents are asked to respond by March 4th to avoid getting a suspension notice with suspensions beginning on May 23rd.
