Police investigating New Hamburg sexual assault

Waterloo Regional Police are looking into an alleged broad daylight sexual assault.

Police say a female was walking in the area of Haysville Road and Bonaventure Drive in New Hamburg when she was approached by a male driving a vehicle. The male offered her a ride before pulling her into the vehicle and sexually assaulting her. The incident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30’s, with an average to heavy build, brown hair, a beard, and blue eyes. He was driving a blue or black boxy SUV.

Anyone with information, or security or dashcam video, is asked to call police at 519-570-9777 or Waterloo Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
