Hydrant flushing for the Spring is now underway in Stratford.
Starting this week, the flushing is something that’s done twice a year to clean out some of the iron deposits that build up over time in the City’s water mains, and as preventative maintenance.
You may temporarily experience discoloured water as a result of this flushing process, but water quality is not affected.
Discoloured water will clear, but it’s best to wait until it has cleared before doing laundry.
