The public school board in our region and occasional teachers have ratified a new contract.
Officials with the Avon Maitland District School Board say the negotiation process with the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario was cooperative and respectful.
They add that it helps maintain the shared goal of advancing outcomes for all AMDSB students.
The agreement completes the local portion of the two-pronged contract talks with the the central portion of the agreement currently in the provincial arbitration process.
