Over $513,000 of the funds has been awarded to the City of Stratford and Mayor Martin Ritsma says it will go towards city transit services and assist in offsetting the operating cost and capital expenses.

Funding for the gas tax program is determined by the number of litres of gasoline sold in the province during the previous year.
