Bigger and Better: Savour and Sip Trail is back

The Savour and Sip Trail has returned for another season, with even more stops.

The trail showcases more than 25 local businesses who have chosen savoury and sweet delights for trail participants.

The curated trail allows visitors and locals to enjoy the outdoors, surrounded by “picturesque scenery, historic landmarks  and the hum of vibrant city streets”, while encouraging Al Fresco dining from May through October, according to Destination Stratford, which develops, manages and promotes tourism in the region.

April Murray, Destination Brand Manager at Destination Stratford, told My Stratford Now that the response from both industry and visitors was exceptional in the first year.

There are eight new stops on the trail, she said, including locations in St. Marys and Shakespeare, providing more options for locals and visitors to the region.

Murray said the program aligns with the Al Fresco (Al Fresco Dining – Destination Stratford (visitstratford.ca) dining season that is currently underway.

Both started this week and both programs further enhance the dining experience for locals  and tourists stopping in to discover culinary experiences.

The Savour and Sip Trail fits “all corners of the city”, Murray noted, with a large downtown presence, as well as Erie Street and the Stratford Country Club.

Residents of St. Marys can complete the entire trail in their town or start there and continue on into the Festival City, she said.

Trail participants can try a wide variety of curated local offers, including cheese, meat, house-made breads, local preserves, an assortment of desserts including fruit alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

“The Savour & Sip Trail has quickly become a new visitor and local favourite and is the perfect seasonal activity to enjoy with friends and family” said Murray.

With each trail purchase, you can choose which five stops, out of the 25+ participating businesses, to redeem your vouchers for a different savour and sip delight.

Cost for five vouchers is $39.55 and available for purchase at Destination Stratford, and Bradshaws. Vouchers are now for sale, don’t expire and can be used over multiple days until the trail end date, October 31.
