Jordan Alexander scored the game winner in overtime to lead the Listowel Cyclones to a 2-1 series lead in the Sutherland Cup junior B hockey championship.
Alexander’s goal came on the powerplay 5:21 into the extra frame on Tuesday at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex in Listowel.
Mason Eurig opened the scoring for the Cyclones in the first period. Owen Voortman had the lone goal for St. Marys, shorthanded, also in the opening period.
Dixon Grimes had 28 saves for the Cyclones. Brandon Abbott had 43 saves for St. Marys.
Game four is Friday at the Pyramid Recreation Centre in St. Marys.
