The biggest fundraising event of the year for Alzheimer Society Huron Perth is almost here.
The Walk for Alzheimer’s is scheduled for Saturday, May 25 across the country including in our region where there will be events in seven different locations including Stratford in Upper Queens Park.
The walks start at 10 a.m. with registration beginning an hour before and both individuals and teams are invited to take part.
Sarah Dunn is with the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth and she says the funds raised are vital.
“We really rely on the support, as an organization we only get around sixty per cent of our funding through governments so we need to do fundraising because there are a lot of people in this community that rely on our programs.”
