Stratford region unemployment rate fell in April

Our region’s unemployment dropped last month to its lowest level since November 2022.
The Four County Labour Market Planning Board says the rate in the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region ended April at 3.5 per cent.
The overall population grew in the area, as did the labour force, with the number of people not working dropping.
Transportation and warehousing experienced the biggest gains while technical services saw the biggest loss.
Provincially, the unemployment rate increased by 0.1 percentage point to 6.7 per cent.
