The start of the season is still a little ways away but in the meantime, Stratford Summer Music is looking for submissions for a new icon to add to its existing look.
“The new icon we are looking for is meant to be part of our already-existing look, so it’s meant to be included in our existing logo,” explained Crystal Spicer, Executive Director of the annual music festival that brings in world-class talent.
Spicer said they are looking for “that little symbol” to add that will make the organization instantly recognizable to their audience.
Submissions for the new icon/design are being accepted until May 24.
Meanwhile, preparations for the July 18-August 11 season are well underway.
Spicer said the organization is relocating the popular music barge series back to the boathouse. Popular venues that will again be used this year include Avondale United Church, Revival House, Stratford Perth Museum and Factory 163.
While popular names such as Angela Hewitt are set to perform, Spicer said there are also some “hidden gems” that audiences will enjoy this season.
The World in a Weekend event, which has become a family-friendly addition to the annual music festival, is also back for the Civic Holiday weekend in August.
An opening night gala is scheduled for July 18.
