The City’s of Stratford’s popular Market Square Music starts up this week.
The annual series features local performers, presenting free concerts on Friday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Market Square behind city hall.
The series is produced by Stratford singer/songwriter Dayna Manning and will feature a new local artist each week. The lineup includes Stelle & Carter Trio, Laura Neilson and Kaitlyn Famme, Cait and Pete from The Bookends, Ethan Maac and Maggie Foster.
The series will also feature a community sing-along led by Dayna Manning on June 14, and a performance by Chippewan flautist and storyteller Christin Dennis on National Indigenous Peoples Day, which is June 21.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Rain dates for each of the Friday evening performances are planned for the following morning at 10:30 a.m.
