Stratford’s splash pad is out of commission

Stratford’s splash pad at Anne Hathaway Park is closed indefinitely.

Through troubleshooting, the city believes an activator/sensor needs to be replaced.

“We have contacted the manufacturer to determine if a replacement activator is in stock, or if it requires to be ordered,” Mark Hackett, Manager of Community Services, told My Stratford Now.

The opening procedures and testing of the Splash Pad were completed last week in advance of the facility opening on Saturday, Hackett said.

“I am not able to determine a re-opening date of the Splash Pad until we have the replacement part. The activator will be replaced as soon as it arrives.”
