Rotary Club unites for transformative projects in South Africa

Remember to save your empty bottles for the Rotaract Club of Stratford’s bottle drive this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Proceeds go to the Roll A Hippo Foundation.

Starting with the Rotary Club of Gibsons’ funding for 50 rollers, the project now involves over 125 Rotary and Interact clubs.

What started with the funding for 50 hippo water rollers from the Rotary Club of Gibsons, quickly grew into a collaboration of over 125 Rotary and Interact clubs that have delivered over 970 hippo water rollers and survival garden kits to marginalized women in South Africa, the foundation says.

Their innovative solution revolutionizes how women handle the ‘last mile’ of water collection, freeing up time for personal, social, educational, and economic pursuits.

You can support Roll a Hippo Foundation by becoming a monthly donor.

Monthly contributions enable them to provide hippo rollers to women and children in South Africa.

For more information or to get involved, visit www.rollahippo.org.
