Festival Sounds Chorus are preparing for ‘Crazy Dreams’, a fundraiser for the all-female chorus.
The concert is scheduled for Sunday (June 2) at 2 p.m. and will feature a silent auction as well as a guest appearance from Maple Reserve, a men’s quartet.
It’s being held at a new venue this year – the Pyramid Recreation Centre in St. Marys.
The chorus sings in a four-part a capella, performing an eclectic mix for their audience, with different styles and genres, including Disney songs, and folk songs.
Member Sheila Dow said there is a wide mix of repertoire but they, “all kind of centre around these things that we dream about and hope for.”
Festival Sounds Chorus Director Brooke Dufton added there is great camaraderie between the members.
“These women are amazing. They are hardworking, they are ambitious, they are funny. So we always have a really, really good time in practice.”
