UPDATED: Fire at Listowel Memorial Hospital

North Perth Fire Department reported a fire at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday.

The fire department responded at 9:28 a.m., according to a media release.

The fire was contained to the room of origin, in the north wing of the second floor, which is currently undergoing construction.

No injuries were reported. The fire was related to electrical equipment.

According to the hospital website, the emergency room is closed Tuesday for those not seeking urgent medical attention. All scheduled appointments have been cancelled for the day and will be rescheduled.
