Bots and Bowties among events happening this weekend

Stratford Public Library hosts a Bots and Bowties event on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

You can watch the library’s Battlebot team, ‘Knights of the Maker Table’ compete in a showdown in a bowtie arena.

Robotics enthusiast/content creator, Dave from Dave’s Armory will showcase his creations.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Bowties are required but provided if necessary, the library says.

Also on Saturday, Christin Dennis hosts an Indigenous Sharing Cirlce, with a lunch, at Avondale United Church. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

A Pride Day event takes place at Kin Station in Listowel, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

A Summertime Poetry Soiree is being held at the Co-operators Performance Theatre at Stratford Perth Museum from 2 p.m until 4 p.m.

Sunday

The Kinsmen Club of Stratford Car Show runs from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday. The entrance gate is at Queen Street and Lakeside Drive. The event is catered and features a DJ.

St. Marys Pride Day is being held on Sunday beginning at 11:45 a.m.

Here for Now Theatre Company are hosting a gala launch from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. outside at Stratford Perth Museum. It will feature live music and food.
