Stratford Kiwanis Centre and Spruce Lodge Home for the Aged received just over $51,000 each as part of senior program funding, announced by Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae.
Rae announced just under $180,000 in funding, which he says will help seniors stay active and healthy and enjoy their golden years.
The funding is towards senior active living centres, which build healthier, safer communities by providing a community hub for older adults
The Town of St. Marys is receiving $50,075 for it’s friendship centre. St. Marys Mayor Al Strathee said the facility provides diverse programming, reducing isolation and creating community among residents.
North Perth Seniors Centre received $26,781 in funding.
