Pride Month: Queer Art Coffee House at The Livery Yard

The Livery Yard in downtown Stratford is hosting a fundraising event on Friday.

The Queer Art Coffee House features Generation Rainbow Collective, a youth group for queer kids ages 12 to 18, who meet regularly at the Stratford Pride Community Centre.

Liesa Hartman from The Livery Yard said she is happy to provide the space and she also provides support for the youth group.

1:25 “They are great group of kids, really talented, really fun…It is awesome to watch these kids figure out who they are not be afraid to express themselves in this way.”

Organizers are asking for guests to pay what they can. Proceeds will go to the youth queer community. Hartman said there are still openings for those may want to flash their artistic side at the event.

54 sec: “Still welcoming anyone who may interested in showing their art, showing their crafts, spoken word, music. It’s a welcoming space so everyone is welcome to attend, or perform or participate.”

Queer Art Coffee House at the Livery Yard runs Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
