Heritage aspect on full display at Stonetown Heritage Festival

More than 40 businesses, vendors and community groups are set to participate in the Stonetown Heritage Festival.

Alanna Bowes, Events Coordinator with the Town of St. Marys, said there is something for everyone, Friday to Sunday.

That includes bus and walking tours, artist demonstrations and shows and a vendor marketplace.

Heritage, of course, also plays its part.

“True to its name we have a lot of heritage tours, so folks can come into town and really immerse themselves in our local heritage.”

A marketplace will display a variety of options from local artisans, crafters, and authors.

There is also live pottery demonstrations and complimentary temporary airbrush tattoos. You can also snap a picture at selfie stations.

Food trucks are stationed downtown all day Saturday, with the popular street party starting later that night.

Sunday features a St. Marys Horticultural Society Garden Tour and youth cycling race.

“It’s an exciting weekend for St. Marys to really showcase the town.”

A full festival schedule is available at discoverstmarys.ca.
