The next phase of work on the County of Perth’s new Official Plan is set to get going.
Members of the public will have a chance to learn more about it and ask some questions at upcoming open houses.
The county will host a pair of information sessions on July 22 at the Perth East Recreation Complex from 10 a.m. until noon and later that day, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the West Perth Community Centre.
It’s an opportunity to see a summary of updates to the plan and meet with planning staff and county council.
The plan guides the long-term vision for growth and development of Perth County communities, including North Perth, West Perth, Perth East and Perth South, according to the County of Perth website.
Landowners who may have site-specific questions about their property in relation to the plan, can set up in-person appointments with a policy planner at their local municipal office July 23-26.
The open houses are the fifth of seven phases in the development of the Official Plan. Adoption by county council is expected this fall. It will then need to be approved by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
