Phase one of the patient room renovation project at St. Marys Memorial Hospital is complete.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Monday to commemorate the occasion.
Patients will move into the renovated east wing Wednesday. Renovations include state-of-the-art upgrades designed to support high quality, safe patient care and comfort, and an environment that supports the health and wellbeing of staff.
That’s according to a media release from the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.
“We are incredibly thankful for the overwhelming generosity of our donors,” said Amanda McCurdy, Chair, St. Marys Healthcare Foundation.
“Their contributions have made this renovation project possible, and it’s inspiring to see what we can achieve together to improve healthcare for everyone in our local area.”
HPHA President and CEO Andrew Williams praised the board of directors.
“The support from our board of directors has been instrumental in taking a focused approach to enhancing our facilities. This commitment ensures that both our staff and the community have access to the best possible environment for care and recovery.”
Construction of the west wing will commence shortly after the transition.
