Stratford launches new cultural initiative

The City of Stratford is launching a new initiative called “Building Bridges Through Sharing Circles.”

Supported by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program, the City of Stratford says this seniors-led initiative aims to share cultural experiences and promote diversity in the community.

The sharing circle project starts on August 16 with a Chinese Cultural Celebration in Market Square from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The event will feature Chinese music, dance performances, drumming, cultural displays, and karate and Tai Chi demonstrations.

The city added other upcoming events, including an Active Adults Open House, and Wellness and Multicultural Fair.

The Seniors Program helps support projects that improve the well-being of seniors and encourage community involvement.
