Police search for suspect in Ingersoll robbery

Police are on the lookout for a suspect after an early morning robbery in Oxford County.

Around 5 a.m. on Aug. 8, a suspect entered a business on Bell Street in Ingersoll. The individual was armed with a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

OPP Oxford detachment and West Region Emergency Response Team arrived on scene after the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect, described as tall and dressed entirely in black, wore a mask that concealed their face, leaving only the eyes visible.

No injuries were reported, and there was no immediate threat to the public.

OPP is asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
