Stratford residents received a tornado warning on their cell phones Saturday morning.
The area was hit with another significant rainfall, but there were no reports of a tornado touching down in the city or county.
A tornado was confirmed in Ayr, south of Kitchener, and it did cause damages.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority reminded residents again over the weekend to exercise extreme caution around waterways due to heavy rain.
Residents were reminded that banks adjacent to rivers and creeks are slippery and children and pets should be kept away from watercourses.
