Local politicians and staff from city and county governments are in Ottawa this week for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference.
The three-day conference, which began on Sunday in the nation’s capital, offers numerous educational presentations and featured guests speakers, including premier Doug Ford and journalist Andrew Coyne.
Monday’s agenda includes a women’s leadership forum. Sessions include supporting access to healthcare services and diversifying Ontario’s municipal leadership.
The Western Ontario Warden’s Caucus, which counts Perth County Warden Rhonda Ehgoetz among its members, has stressed the importance of the Ontario and federal governments taking immediate and targeted action, to help solve the crisis around homelessness and mental health.
MyStratfordNow will have more from local representation at the AMO conference.
