A Woodstock man involved in a hit and run collision in Stratford has been arrested and charged with several driving-related offences.
Stratford police said they received the hit and run report shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A black Nissan Murano was eastbound on Lorne Avenue when it rear-ended a black Mercedes SUV, causing it to collide with a blue Honda.
The driver of the Nissan fled the scene heading east on Lorne Avenue and struck a black van before turning south on Perth Road 112 (Downie Street).
The vehicle was also observed entering the ditch on Road 112 at Line 29 and failing to stop for the stop sign at that intersection.
A description of the driver was provided and the licence plate was obtained from the front bumper of the Nissan, which was stuck in the rear of the Mercedes when the driver fled the
scene.
The driver was located and arrested by Woodstock police after being located in Woodstock.
The 59-year-old is charged with failure to stop after an accident and dangerous operation, and other Highway Traffic Act offences.
