There is a new addition and more space at Eastdale Public School.
Four classrooms have been added to the Listowel school.
The project provides an extra 98 elementary spaces while an additional 49 child care spaces are expected to be completed at the beginning of next year.
Matthew Rae, MPP for Perth-Wellington, said the province has provided the Avon Maitland District School Board with $8.8 million for construction of the school addition.
The four classrooms will be open for students as of Sept. 5, with childcare spaces slated for completion in the new year.
Since 2018, the provincial government has approved or supported development of more than 300 school-related projects including child care.
