Fundraising is like a marathon and the return of a popular 50/50 draw will help a local organization get closer to the finish line.
That’s how Stratford General Hospital Foundation executive director Cheryl Hunt describes the ongoing efforts to support the foundation’s $30 Million In Our Hands Capital Campaign.
“It’s a great way for us to give back to our community,” Hunt told MyStratfordNow.
The 50/50 draws return Tuesday, Sept. 3 after a successful run in 2021, with some new early bird draws and a chance to win some big bucks.
In 2021 $73,000 in prizes were distributed.
This time around, you can purchase 300 tickets for $40, 100 tickets for $20, 20 tickets for $10 and five tickets for $5.
You can also purchase them at the Stratford General Hospital Foundation office.
Hunt said there isn’t a target goal, with the focus instead on spreading the word.
Funds go towards equipment and technology in the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance – Stratford General Hospital site, and help bring to reality the hospital’s new cancer & medical care clinic, with a co-located Pharmacy.
