ONE CARE Home & Community Supports Services has announced Stephanie Ellens-Clarke as the organization’s new executive director, starting Sept. 12.
Clarke replaces Kathy Scanlon, executive director of ONE CARE since it formed as an amalgamation of three local organizations in 2011.
Per its website, ONE CARE is a community based, charitable, not-for-profit health organization which provides supportive care to families in Huron and Perth counties.
The organization’s board of directors noted Ellens-Clarke’s experience, including positions at Social Planning Council Cambridge-South Dumfries, Region of Waterloo Public Health, and executive director of Social Planning Oxford.
Ellens-Clarke grew up in Mitchell and through work in rural communities understands the unique challenges related to health care and home support services needed by aging adults in rural communities.
