Stratford Warriors junior B season gets going this weekend

Stratford Warriors get their Greater Ontario Junior B Hockey League season started on Friday night.

The Warriors host Elmira at the William Allman Memorial Arena.

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

Defending Sutherland Cup champion Listowel Cyclones start their season Friday night at home against Strathroy at 7:30 p.m. Listowel’s away game in Sarnia on Thursday was postponed.

St. Marys, who lost to the Cyclones in the Ontario Junior B championship last year, host St. Thomas on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

The league got going on Wednesday with LaSalle beating London 3-2 in overtime.

Stratford travel to Komoka for a game on Saturday night at 7:15 p.m.

The GOJHL has a redesigned set-up that includes two conferences instead of three and will offer some interesting regional matchups.
