It’s a leadership opportunity and a chance to have your voice heard.
Perth OPP and Stratford Police Service are inviting city and county residents ages 14 to 18, to join a Youth Action Committee.
It’s an opportunity to work directly with police, creating a positive impact on youth.
Those interested, will need to commit two to three hours per month from October to June.
Meetings will be held in the evening on the first Wednesday of each month.
A record of volunteer hours will be provided and transportation assistance is available.
Organizers say the committee is a leadership opportunity, providing a chance to have your voice heard on important issues, including community safety, youth crime, victimization, cyberbullying and online safety.
Applications can be picked up Perth OPP detachments in Sebringville, Mitchell and Listowel.
You can also email margaret.geurts@opp.ca or (Darren) discher@stratfordpolice.com.
Deadline to apply is Sept. 20.
