‘The WHEY we like it’: 183rd Stratford Fall Fair starts Thursday

With so much work put into it and so much to offer, all organizers of the 183rd Stratford Fall Fair can ask is for people to stop by and have some fun.

Heidi Danen, co-chair of the annual fall fair organized by the Stratford and District Ag Society, says this year’s theme is that’s the WHEY we like it.

“And the way we like it is to see you at the Stratford Fall Fair.”

Admission is free and it starts on Thursday with a family BBQ, an opening ceremony at 7 p.m. and an ambassador competition.

Running until Sunday, there are 4H shows, a touch-a-truck event, a beer garden for adults and the always popular Campbell Amusement Midway.

Volunteers also worked hard on an exhibit hall at the Rotary Complex.

Danen said the fall fair is one of the oldest around and with so much going on, they hope plenty of people take time out to stop by.

“Attendance is a big thing to make sure it is a successful event for everyone and it’s an opportunity for the whole town to come together.”

You can find out more information and scheduled on the Stratford Ag Society website.
